It’s time to announce our 2025 Employee of the Year! This honor goes to a supervisor who exemplifies positive leadership and was nominated multiple times this year for her empathy, mentorship, and dedication. Please join me in congratulating the Christian County Highway Department, our Employees of the 2nd Quarter! The Highway Department is being recognizing for their outstanding teamwork and dedication during a quarter of severe storms, flooding, and two confirmed tornadoes. They responded to more than 45 weather-related calls, worked over 240 hours of overtime—most during the overnight hours or on the weekends—and went above and beyond to keep our roads safe. Their commitment to serving the citizens of Christian County makes them truly deserving of this recognition. Congratulations!

Recipients will be selected on, but not limited to, the criteria listed below

  • Highly engaged and committed to the mission, vision and values of the County.
  • A can-do attitude; goes the extra mile in giving to the County and doing their best.
  • Functions in a spirit of partnership with other employees and with their citizens.
  • Has a clear understanding of personal accountability and tends to look to themselves first for resources and solutions. Instead of placing blame, they fix problems.
  • Embraces change and looks for ways to reinvent themselves while continuing to provide a high level of value to the organization.

This Award is used to recognize the efforts of those employees who go above and beyond—those who perform with a superior level of commitment, partnership, accountability, positive attitude, and ability to embrace change.
