Employee of the Year Award
This year, we are proud to recognize a team of employees for their outstanding dedication and hard work. Christian County decided to participate in the senior citizen tax freeze proposed by Senate Bill 190. This decision resulted in significant administrative work, which fell largely on the shoulders of a few key members of our staff. The group of employees who took on the brunt of this challenge – Sandy Liles, Amy York, Nancy Burton, and Colleen Laas – worked tirelessly to ensure that everything was handled efficiently and effectively. Their collective effort and commitment have been integral to our success in navigating this task. We thank them for their continued dedication and service not only to the employees but also the citizens of Christian County.
Employee of the Quarter Award
Join us in congratulating our second Employee of the Quarter for 2025—Torre Brashers! Torre serves as both Chaplain and Commissary Officer at the Christian County Jail. His calm and steady presence, along with his ability to connect with individuals from all backgrounds, contributes to a respectful and hopeful environment for both staff and inmates. His professionalism, empathy, and strong work ethic make him truly deserving of this honor. We appreciate his service!
Recipients will be selected on, but not limited to, the criteria listed below
- Highly engaged and committed to the mission, vision and values of the County.
- A “can-do” attitude; goes the extra mile in giving to the County and doing their best.
- Functions in a spirit of partnership with other employees and with their citizens.
- Has a clear understanding of personal accountability and tends to look to themselves first for resources and solutions. Instead of placing blame, they fix problems.
- Embraces change and looks for ways to reinvent themselves while continuing to provide a high level of value to the organization.
