The Christian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has been awarded CARES Act funding to address caseload backlog created due to the pandemic. There are immediate openings for two full-time experienced investigators. These contract positions will start no later than September 1, 2020 and will end on December 31, 2020.
The investigator will be POST certified and must be able to be commissioned as a Christian County deputy. The investigators will serve subpoenas, locate witnesses and, as needed, transport victims and witnesses, interview defense witnesses, complete follow-up on filed cases as requested.
It is required the candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of law enforcement experience and/or five (5) years of experience as an investigator in a prosecuting attorney’s office or a combination of experience totaling five (5) years. Preferably the candidate will have previous experience with the PbK case management system.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening. These are safety sensitive positions and will be subject to random drug screening.
The hourly rate for these temporary contract positions is: $29.31/hour to $32.57/hour. There are NO benefits with this position. This is a temporary contract position. The contract will end on December 31, 2020.
