The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for a part-time CCW Clerk. This position provides administrative support of CCW duties of sheriff’s office. The CCW clerk is responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to: answering phones, daily contact via in person contact, gathering information, taking finger print request, running background checks, processing payments, receiving and documenting payments, scheduling appointments and answering questions regarding the CCW process, corresponding with other counties for transfers and with applicants regarding approved/denied CCW, uploading CCW and Instructor data into CSP, and receiving multiple gun sales and FFL applications to keep on file electronically.
Education: High School Diploma or GED Required.
Experience: Minimum of two years front office experience preferred
The CCW clerk must be professional, courteous, have strong computer skills, keyboarding skills, strong verbal and written communications skills, good cognitive skills, work with a high level of accuracy, and must be able and must be able to readily identify and maintain confidential information. This position must be able to pass an extensive background check and a drug test.
