Welcome to Christian County, a place where the scenery is lush, wildlife plentiful, educational opportunities excellent, and the leadership is progressive.

Nestled between Springfield and Branson Missouri, Christian County provides its residents with quick access to major urban areas while providing a small town living experience. Christian County is the fastest growing county in the state with approximately 78,000 citizens in 554 square miles.

Christian County has excellent schools with educational achievements known throughout the state and beyond. Our region offers a multitude of educational opportunities for all ages in higher education or skilled labor learning.

You will find plenty of opportunities for both recreation and employment in our area; especially for entrepreneurs. We have many successful small businesses catering to visitors and residents, from artists and craftspeople to high-tech and hospitality. This is a great place to get away from it all without sacrificing anything.

Medical care is abundant with two large hospital campuses in Springfield as well as smaller hospitals, trauma centers and clinics strategically placed around the region.

We experience four distinct and beautiful seasons. Natives and visitors alike delight in the refreshing growth of spring including the striking colors of dogwoods and redbuds; and the long summer days where the cares and worries of today’s fast paced life seem to drift away on the soft evening breeze. Fall offers an unmatched patchwork of impressive autumn colors as well as comfortable temperatures that draw visitors from near and far who come to see our regions natural magnificence. Our winters are primarily mild and picturesque with snowfalls that blanket the land and encourage us to stop a bit and enjoy the world and those around us.
